AB Mando is part of the Mando Group AB alongside with Mandolean AB that offers treatment for overweight and obesity with the Mandolean® Method and Mandometer AB that administrates patents.

 

The Mando Group’s main office is located at the Novum Research Park at the Karolinska Hospital Huddinge.

 

Here research on eating behavior is carried out in collaboration with the Karolinska Institute. The first Mandolean® Clinic and the largest Mandometer® Clinic with its 24-hour care, day care clinic and patient hotel, is also situated at Novum.

 

Research on the Mandometer® Method has been published in several of the world’s leading medical and scientific journals such as the Lancet, PNAS, Nature Medicine and Frontiers in Neuroendocrinology. In 2008, AB Mando received Swecare’s honourable mention for export of healthcare to three continents. Mandometer® was awarded the "Great Embedded Prize for Technical Innovation" in 2006 and the leader of the Bristol study, Professor Julian Shield, received the "Clinical Excellence Award 2006" for the study "A Prospective Randomized Evaluation of the Mandolean Treatment for Childhood Obesity, Compared to Standard Care".
