The Association against Anorexia and Bulimia, FAB
While patients are at our clinics, they often help and support one another. When the patients leave the clinic, they typically leave their eating disorder behind and usually don’t feel that they need to belong to any support group. However, all patients receiving treatment have the ability to meet patients who have gone into remission and participate in the follow-up programme.
FAB - an association of parents and relatives of patients who have been treated at a Mandometer® Clinic was formed In Sweden in 1995. FAB – The Association against Anorexia and Bulimia, is a support association that arranges lectures and seminars where you can learn more about these diseases, the treatment, and the latest research in the area. These meetings are usually very popular. The chairwoman of the association, Eva-Britt Johansson, also has private meetings regularly with parents who feel that they need to talk to someone who has had the same experiences.
If you want to get in touch with FAB, contact either the Mandometer® Clinic in Novum, telephone +46 (0) 8 55640600, info@mando.se, or Eva-Britt Johansson, telephone +46 (0)735 301 554.
